MEET THE AUTHOR

CARLA J BROOKS

Your Story teller. Soul Mirror. Reluctant Pilgrim. Still healing. Still sipping.

Carla didn’t set out to write a book.
She set out to survive.
To make sense of a life that had unraveled — a marriage, a faith, a version of herself she no longer recognized.
And somewhere along the way, she started listening.
To strangers. To Spirit. To her own voice — the one she had silenced for far too long.

Born with a storyteller’s soul and a designer’s eye, Carla has worn many titles: photographer, business owner, investigator, traveler, truth-seeker.
But underneath them all was always the same heartbeat — a deep desire to see people, hold their stories, and reflect their beauty back to them.

7 Cups of Coffee was written across ten states, fifty-five thousand miles, and countless conversations that cracked her open in the best way.
It’s not just a memoir. It’s a map.
One she hopes will help others feel less alone on their own healing journey.

When she’s not writing or designing, Carla is probably sipping black coffee, editing by candlelight, or chasing the next story tucked inside a divine interruption.
